If you will be processing gift cards (i.e., SVCs) through NCR Secure Pay, follow these steps to configure the necessary settings for your company:
Select Setup
> System > Company to display the Company
window and click the Credit and Stored Value
tab.
Select the Use stored value cards check box.
The SVC
Processor list box only applies to CPGateway stores. SVC transactions
for NCR Secure Pay stores will be processed through the Processor
you specified for the store when you signed up for NCR Secure Pay. If
your store uses a gift card processor that is different from your credit
card processor, you must use the NCR Secure Pay Credit Settlement portal
to configure
the necessary settings for your gift card processor separately. Note that First Data Gift is considered a separate processor from First Data North and First Data South.
Enter the minimum dollar amount for which you can activate a new SVC in the Minimum activation amount field.
Enter the minimum dollar amount you can add to an SVC that has already been activated in the Minimum recharge amount field.
Enter the maximum dollar amount you can refund to an SVC in the Maximum refund amount field.
Enter the maximum dollar amount you can issue as an SVC cash back transaction in the Maximum cash back amount field, or select the Unlimited cash back check box to allow unlimited SVC cash back transactions.
If you are processing stored value cards through Stored Value Systems, Paymentech, or GiftLynk (or another processor that supports PIN entry for gift cards), you can select the Require PIN for manual entry check box to require a PIN for manually-entered SVC card numbers.
Stored value card PINs are
entered manually and do not require a PIN pad.
Click the button to
save your changes.
Close the Company window.
Once you have completed these steps, complete the Setting up stored value cards process—starting with Step 5: Create a stored value card pay code—in the NCR Counterpoint online help to create a pay code for stored value card payments (if applicable), assign the pay code to your stores, create SVC transaction codes, authorize users to process SVC transactions, and make store value card sales taxable.
If you are processing stored value cards through Givex, when you assign a Stored value card pay code to your store(s), you must use your Secure Pay Merchant ID as the Authorization Terminal ID value.
