Signing Up for NCR Secure Pay

Once you have everything you need, follow these steps to sign up for NCR Secure Pay:

  1. Browse to the NCR Secure Pay area of the NCR Counterpoint user portal.

  2. Click the Register Online link to display the NCR Secure Pay Registration page, and then click the Sign Up Now! button to begin the sign-up process.

  3. Enter demographic and billing information for your company on the Company tab and then click Next.

The e-mail address(es) you specify in the Service Status Alert Email field will automatically receive periodic messages regarding the service status of NCR Secure Pay servers, notifications of scheduled maintenance, and other technical communications. You should enter e-mail addresses for all of your stores in this field (separated by semicolons) to ensure that the appropriate person at each store receives these alerts.

  1. On the ClosedStore tab, enter a Store Name for your store, along with an e-mail address to which settlement messages should be sent and the NCR Counterpoint Serial # for the store.

  2. Select the Processor for the store, and then enter the information you obtained from your processor for the store in the corresponding fields.

You can select Loopback Emulator from the Processor list box to process simulated transactions through NCR Secure Pay for testing purposes. If you do so, you must change the processor for your store when you are finished testing to begin processing live transactions.

If your store uses a gift card processor that is different from your credit card processor, you will configure the necessary settings for your gift card processor separately, after you have completed the sign-up process. Note that First Data Gift is considered a separate processor from First Data North and First Data South and must be configured separately.

  1. Click the Save button to save your store information.

If you have more than one store, including physical and online stores, click the New button to create a new store entry and repeat steps 4 through 6 for each store. For each store, you can select the Use previous store's processor check box to choose the same processor as the previous store.

You can use NCR Secure Pay and NCR Counterpoint Gateway (CPGateway) at different stores simultaneously, allowing you to test NCR Secure Pay without switching all of your stores. When you register for NCR Secure Pay, only create store entries for the stores you want to use NCR Secure Pay.

  1. Click Next to proceed to the Payment tab, select the appropriate Payment method, and then enter the account number, expiration date, and cardholder name for the credit card to which NCR Secure Pay fees will be charged.

  2. Click Next and review the Company Information, Store Information, Fees, and Payment Information on the Submit tab.

If there are any errors, click the Back button to return to a previous tab and make the necessary corrections.

  1. When you are satisfied that all of the information on the Submit tab is correct, click the NCR Secure Pay Merchant Agreement link to review the terms of the NCR Secure Pay Merchant Agreement, and then select the I have read the NCR Secure Pay Merchant Agreement and I agree to the terms contained in this agreement check box.

  2. Enter Your Name and your Relationship to the company, and then click Next to submit your Secure Pay registration.

When your Secure Pay registration is complete, a welcome message will be sent to the e-mail address you specified for each store. This message includes the Secure Pay POS Username and Secure Pay POS Password you will need to configure the necessary store settings in Counterpoint. The message also includes the store's Secure Pay Portal Username and Secure Pay Portal Password, which you will use to log in to the NCR Secure Pay Credit Settlement portal to review and settle transactions for the store.
